Spectral photometer SP3

Several years ago we designed and manufactured about 50 units of a spectral photometer for company Vistec Semiconductor, Wetzlar.

The design was created in a partnership with our customer, because the SP3 should serve as a replacement for an older unit which used a motorised prism to divide the beam into the different wave length.

The new spectral photometer works with a photodiode array and is used for analysis of film thickness while producing wafers. The measurement range is 380 ... 800nm, the resolution is about 0.4nm/pixel. For a high performance measurement, the photodiode is cooled down to -25°C.

In that case we delivered a complete and tested unit consisting of mechanical, optical and electronic components, the photos show some component assemblies.
